Help A Foreigner Stay on the CHINESE ROCK CHART!
So, some of you might know that I came back from my North American tour to find out the good news that my song has been sitting on the rock charts for a few weeks. These are China-wide Rock Charts and the songs are listener-voted. I was so thrilled to hear this news and even more excited to find out that I had climbed all the way to #2 on the charts!!
According to my sources, I’m the first foreigner anyone has ever seen on these rock charts. That’s a HUGE DEAL. It’s even more fun that the song is about being a foreigner in China. It’s called 老外 or “Laowai” (a slang for the word “Foreigner” in Mandarin) and my point in writing it was to hopefully help Chinese people understand what it’s like to be a foreigner in their culture. Seems like they’re listening and enjoying! I couldn’t be more excited about this!
Because this is listener-voted, however, it’s important to ask my supporters to help me stay there! The page is entirely in Chinese, but I know that you can do it even if you don’t speak the language! Step-by-step instructions to follow!
STEP #1: GO TO THE WEBPAGE:
Here’s the link to the page to vote:
This is what the header will look like when you get there so that you know you’re in the right place.
STEP #2: SCROLL DOWN TO THE THIRD PANEL SQUARE ON THE LEFT:
STEP #3: CLICK ON MY SONG & CHINESE NAME that looks like this: “老外 子玉” (2nd or 3rd one down) and then CLICK ON THE “Vote” BUTTON (bottom left in that square):
STEP #4: FEEL PROUD OF YOURSELF FOR HAVING NAVIGATED A CHINESE WEBSITE!!
STEP #5: ACCEPT MY SINCERE THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
That’s it! Super easy.
And you can even vote once a day!
Thank you so much for your help with this. My goal now is to stay on the list!! As it stands, I’m slipping from #2 this week and I’d hate to slip all the way off!!
Thanks again,
Ember
